You thought you knew what the world had to offer
you never realized you're in line for a slaughter
this stale river, flows with forgotten art
madness has us, with a system broken torn apart
let's rise to this future and find what it holds
see with eyes open, or do what you're told
all fortune peeled straight from the wings
tainted lust clogging the veins
suffering was all that you know
resurrecting the ashes of ghosts
liberate your thoughts have no one to blame
when it comes to living we're one in the same
can you smell all the vultures shaking from the past
all this rotten meat was never meant to last
once you understand the poisons within
a total mental revolution can begin
cut all the ties now, the heart is revealing.
constricted and beating
woke up embodied with shadows surrounding
burn all the meanings
the virus or reason depraved with a treason
nothing is endless
sharpen the harvest, the truth is a liar
her name is Desire
I enjoy this every time I hear it. I aspire to be this good some day. looking forward to celebrating 50 years anniversary of your band in the future. wouldn't that be nice. until then, stay safe c_g78
As these psychedelic folk rockers from Glasgow apparently like to play with dark-light contrasts, Lucid Sins is indeed a well chosen band name. My normal go-to address for this kind of music with a pleasant retro-flair, is Chris Wade's Dodson & Fogg but by good luck I stumbled over these guys, who deliver comparable goods, though a good deal harder hitting and with infectious grooves. The drivin Hidden in the Dark is another favourite. Carsten Pieper
Winter McQuinn mixes soft rock and psychedelic folk for a sound reminiscent of classic pop purveyors like Cut Worms and the Lemon Twigs. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
